Due to an internal Facepunch change, throwing server charges will no longer generate the analysis notes we used to have. 

So now when you have a Survey Charge in hand Right-Click while holding one and it will tell you if you can get a crater from dropping one now. Once a crater is spawned it will tell you the results now.

So, stop just throwing them around hoping you will get a crater, we made it easier for you.
